Disclosed is a device controlling method, comprising: a step of acquiring 3D location information of hovering input, acquired by a device; a step of selecting one task among a plurality of tasks related to an application operation based on the application operation executed in the device and the acquired 3D location information of the hovering input; and a step of performing at least one of the selected tasks by acquiring a pre-configured type execution input depending on the hovering input. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling an object displayed in a device based on hovering input which is acquired from a device.
