PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner that can reduce lowering of operation efficiency.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 10 for an air conditioner having a compressor and a heat exchanger that are disposed in a casing 11 includes: a first on-off valve 21 and a second on-off valve 22 that are disposed on one side surface of the casing 11 and with which refrigerant piping is connected; a cover 60 covering the first on-off valve 21 and the second on-off valve 22 and mounted to the casing 11; and a heat insulating section 40 that is disposed in the cover 60 and comprises a heat insulating material located close to or brought into contact with the first on-off valve 21 and the second on-off valve 22 to cover the first on-off valve 21 and the second on-off valve 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
