A dry coke quenching box contains a housing, divided into a forehearth and a quenching box, in each of them a coke flow spreader is installed in the form of a hollow beam with holes in its lateral surface, which cavity is connected to a cooling gas feed unit, charging and discharging apparatuses. The coke flow spreader additionally contains at least one beam. The beams are installed perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of box one over the other with a step equal to maximum linear expansion of the beam cross section. The holes are made along the whole length of lateral surface of each beam diverted to the discharge apparatus. |
