PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral support for hanging cables which exhibits high waterproofness with respect to core wires at the cutting section of coated wires and has superior durability, as well as, is low-cost. SOLUTION: In the spiral support for hanging cables, wherein the coated wires 1 comprising the core wires coated with a synthetic resin material are inserted into a connector socket 5 consisting of a connection terminal 7 and the socket 5, the hollow part of the socket 5 is filled with a curing resin and/or a water proofing putty agent; and the curing resin is an ambient temperature-curing resin, a heat-curing resin or a moisture-curing resin, wherein it is preferable that the waterproofing putty agent be butyl resin and furthermore, the core wires be low carbon steel wires which are prepared by drawing a hard steel wire, and the low carbon steel wires not be subjected to plating treatment.
