<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input system which allows a character inputted in a short time with fewer operations even in the case of one finger, a portable terminal with the system, especially, a cellular phone with the system. <P>SOLUTION: The character system is provided with: a touch panel 6 which detects a pressurized position to transmits a position as positional information; a CPU 9 as a processing means which specifies one character by receiving the positional information and performing an arithmetic operation to transmit the character as character information; and a display part 5 which receives the character information to display the specified character, wherein the CPU 9 specifies one character by the positional information obtained after the starting of one pressurizing operation before termination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
