PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately position magnetic sensors with respect to magnetic scales of position detection devices.SOLUTION: A position detection device 1 is a magnet-type linear encoder, and a sensor holder 30 holding a magnetic sensor 40 is anchored to a slide member 20 slidably assembled to a magnetic scale 10. The magnetic sensor 40 has a positioning mark 43 provided on a base plate 41 having a magnetic resistance element 42 formed. In manufacturing of the position detection device 1, as visually checking the positioning mark 43 using an optical system 60, the positioning mark 43 is positioned with respect to a positioning reference 63 appearing in a field of view 61 of the optical system 60. Thus, with respect to the magnetic scale 10, the magnetic sensor 40 can be highly accurately positioned.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
