<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-generating device, a projector and an image-generating method capable of appropriately realizing indirect lighting with a low-cost configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An image-generating device (controlling device 6) for generating an image comprises: an input image generating part (preprocessing part 61) for generating an input image that is an image corresponding to image information input in the image-generating device; a first mask image generating part (OSD part 64) for generating a first mask image to be superimposed on the input image; a transmittance setting part (OSD part 64) for setting a transmittance of the first mask image; and an image outputting part (OSD part 64) for blending the input image with the first mask image and outputting the blended image. Therefore, the image-generating device can generate a bright image because a ratio of image components of the first mask image in the output image increases in accordance with the transmittance set by the transmittance setting part, and can generate the image illuminating an observation environment with a low-cost configuration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
