This method for producing an absorbent article is characterized by being provided with: a step in which a non-woven fabric is heated; a step in which a liquid having a viscosity of at least 0.05 Pa∙s but not more than 4 Pa∙s is applied to the non-woven fabric which has become thicker than the thickness thereof prior to heating as a result of being heated; and a step in which the non-woven fabric having had the liquid applied thereto is used to produce the absorbent article.
