METHOD FOR INSTALLING GANTRY TOWER CRANE FOR USE IN CARGO TANK CHECKING

The present invention relates to a method for installing a gantry tower crane for use in cargo tank checking, the method comprising the steps of: (a) installing installation rails on the bottom surface of the cargo tank in the width direction thereof; (b) movably installing a pair of mobile platforms, which are inserted into the interior of the cargo tank, on the installation rails; (c) assembling a pair of prefabricated towers by coupling tower units to each of the mobile platforms; (d) installing driving rails in the longitudinal direction of each of the cargo tanks at both ends of the installation rails; and (e) installing, on each of the prefabricated towers, a basket so as to be upwardly or downwardly movable along the prefabricated tower. Accordingly, the present invention can obtain the following effects: a tower crane can be installed rapidly since the tower units are lowered and assembled when assembling the tower units, the time required to install two prefabricated towers can be reduced, and all zones of the cargo tanks can be checked as baskets and pedestrian overpasses are installed.
