摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle JPEG data whose file size is to be of variable length as well together with YUV data in a system based on a YUV format for handling still image data whose file size is a fixed length.

SOLUTION: On the transmission side, by inserting invalid data stipulated by a JPEG format to the JPEG data, the file size of the JPEG data is turned to the file size of the fixed length, corresponding to the YUV format and is transmitted. On the reception side, only the JPEG data are extracted, by eliminating the invalid data from the JPEG data received together with the invalid data. Thus, the JPEG data whose file size is of variable length are handled in the system, based on the YUV format for handling the file size of the fixed length.
