PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor switch which allows its output to be stopped, when a fault in a microcomputer or an external IC occurs. SOLUTION: This semiconductor switch, provided with an IC which is integrated with a power circuit and other circuits, and a control section which is supplied with a voltage from the power circuit of the IC to output control signals of a voltage within a predetermined limit, is formed separately from the IC, and turns into a state which is on or off, based on the control signals from the control section. The semiconductor switch has a supply voltage monitoring means which monitors whether there are either one or both the voltage from the power circuit of the IC and the voltage of control signals within the predetermined limit, and a semiconductor switch drive circuit which turns the semiconductor switch into off state, when the supply voltage monitoring means decides that these voltages do not exist within the predetermined limit.
