Disclosed are an electronic device, an operating method thereof, and a recording medium. According to various embodiments of the present document, the electronic device comprises: a housing; a battery which is disposed in the housing; a power management IC which is disposed in the housing and is connected to the battery; a plurality of electronic components which are disposed in the housing and receive power from the battery through the power management IC; a processor which is disposed in the housing and is electrically connected to the plurality of electronic components; and a memory which is disposed in the housing and is electrically connected to the processor. The memory stores instructions which control the processor to monitor a power amount or a current amount supplied to at least one electronic component of the electronic components at the time of executing an application, determine whether the power amount or the current amount supplied to the at least one electronic component is equal to or greater than a present value, and reduce the power amount or the current amount of the at least one electronic component or a power amount or a current amount of the other electronic components linked to the at least one electronic component based on the determination result.
