PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can quickly switch a power mode from a power-saving mode to a normal mode.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 having a printer engine comprises: a main board 201; a sub board 202 which is connected to the main board 201 in a communicable manner; and an engine controller 217 which controls the printer engine and is connected to the sub board 202 in a communicable manner. When the MFP 101 is returned from the power-saving mode, the sub board 202 starts start-up of software necessary for communication between the sub board 202 and the engine controller 217 before completion of start-up of the software necessary for communication between the main board 201 and the sub board 202, and transmits device information of the MFP 101 acquired from the main board 201 to the engine controller 217.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
