PURPOSE: A hybrid propulsion device of a ship is provided to improve the propulsion efficiency of a ship by applying a flapping foil function to a rudder. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid propulsion device of a ship comprises a screw type propeller, a rudder(14), a rudder shaft(18), a fluctuating arm(20), and actuators(22). The rudder is installed to the rear of the screw type propeller and allowed to rotate with respect to a hull. The rudder shaft supports the rudder on the hull. The fluctuating arm is coupled to the rudder shaft and rotated together. The actuators are respectively installed on the front and rear sides of the fluctuating arm around the rudder shaft and apply actuating forces to the right and left sides of the hull. |
