A light emitting apparatus has a light source for emitting multi-colored light. A diffuser material receives at least a portion of the multi-colored light emitted by the light source and converts the multi-colored light into forward transferred light and back transferred light. An optic device is coupled to the diffuser material and is adapted to receive the back transferred light and extract at least a portion of the back transferred light from the optic device.
