PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control a secondary-side pressure by a water flow detection device by inverter control of a pump drive motor even if a water discharge flow rate changes by increase of the number of operating sprinkler heads.SOLUTION: When sprinkler heads 22 operate by a fire, a pump controller 32 sets first frequency data stored correspondingly to a fire-occurring floor to an inverter 36, and controls a motor 12 to an optimum rotation speed. When having detected increase of a valve opening exceeding a prescribed opening of a pressure control type water flow detection device 18 during the sprinkler head operation, the pump controller 32 recognizes flow rate increase during the sprinkler head operation, reads prestored second frequency data higher than the first frequency data correspondingly to the fire-occurring floor, sets it to the inverter 36, increases the rotation speed of the motor 12 to enhance a primary-side pressure, and supplies fire extinguishing water having a necessary water discharge pressure to the sprinkler heads 22. |
