PURPOSE: An antifogging coating liquid for the formation of a coating film excellent in wear resistance, adhesion to a base material, antifogging ability, durability and hydrophilicity using transition metal alkoxide and unsaturated hydrocarbon bond-containing organic monomers is provided which can be used for helmets, glass lenses, automobile glass and sunglass lenses. CONSTITUTION: The antifogging coating liquid comprises 30 to 70 parts by weight of an alkoxysilane compound of the formula; R1-Si-(OR2)3, 30 to 50 parts by weight of a hydrophilic organic monomer of the formula; R3-CCH2-R4 having an unsaturated hydrocarbon bond, 3 to 10 parts by weight of transition metal alkoxide of the formula; M(OR2)a and metal oxide of the formula; MxOy, 2 to 10 parts by weight of a surfactant of the formula; OH(CH2CH2O)bR5 and 0.005 to 1 parts by weight of a heat or ultraviolet curing catalyst. In formula, R1 represents an alkyl group containing 10 carbons or less having an unsaturated hydrocarbon bond or an acrylic hydrocarbon group containing 10 carbons or less having an unsaturated hydrocarbon bond, R2 represents an alkyl group containing 4 carbons or less, one of R and R4 represents a hydrocarbon group containing 10 carbons or less having at least one of hydroxyl, amine, ether or carboxyl, R5 represents an alkyl group containing 10 carbons or less having an unsaturated hydrocarbon bond, M is a metal element, a is an integer from 3 to 6, x and y are an integer. |
