Welding method and apparatus for compensation of position and angle

The procedure for position- and angle compensation welding of joint surface (51) of a component (6) to a joint surface (61) of an extrusion blow molded hollow body (5) as fuel tank, includes three dimensionally detecting geometrical- and positional data of the joint surface of the hollow body, positioning a heating element (221) on the basis of the detected data in such a way that a same interval over a total joint surface is achieved between the heating element and the joint surface of the hollow body, plastification of the joint surfaces, and joining together the plastified joint surfaces. The procedure for position- and angle compensation welding of joint surface (51) of a component (6) to a joint surface (61) of an extrusion blow molded hollow body (5) as fuel tank, includes three dimensionally detecting geometrical- and positional data of the joint surface of the hollow body, positioning a heating element (221) on the basis of the detected data in such a way that a same interval over a total joint surface is achieved between the heating element and the joint surface of the hollow body, plastification of the joint surfaces, and joining together the plastified joint surfaces. The detection of the data of the joint surface of the hollow body takes place by contactless scanning. The geometrical- and positional data of the total hollow body and its joint surface are measured. A further three dimensional detection of the geometrical- and positional data of the joint surface of the component takes place. Additional processing steps on the hollow body take place on the basis of the detected geometrical- and positional data. Positioning of the component relative to the heating element on the basis of the detected geometrical- and positional data takes place in such a manner that a same interval over a total joint surface is achieved between the heating element and the joint surface of the component. An independent claim is included for a device for position- and angle compensation welding of a joint surface of a component to a joint surface of an extrusion blow molded hollow body.
