PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit and an imaging device quipped with the lens unit that can prevent decrease in optical characteristics by preventing thermal deformation and displacement in the optical axis direction of a lens caused by thermal expansion of the lens in a high temperature environment while simplifying an assembling step. SOLUTION: The lens unit includes a lens holder 2 and a lens 1 disposed in the lens holder 2. A holding section 3 for fixing a peripheral portion of the lens 1 is formed in the lens holder 2; and the peripheral portion of the lens 1 is fixed by the holding section 3.
