PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printing device capable of sufficiently reducing the use amount of a mountless label as needed.SOLUTION: The label printing device prints merchandise information on a mountless label LS to generate a label piece LP. The label printing device includes a conveyance mechanism 66 for conveying the mountless label LS in the longitudinal direction, a printing mechanism 67 for printing the merchandise information on the mountless label LS conveyed by the conveyance mechanism 66, and a control part for controlling at least one between the conveyance mechanism 66 and the printing mechanism 67. The control part has a first printing mode for printing the merchandise information on the mountless label LS in a first printing state, and a second printing mode for printing the merchandise information on the mountless label LS in a second printing state while a character, a diagram and a symbol showing the merchandise information are at least partially compressed in the conveyance direction of the mountless label LS more than in the first printing state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
