<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aligning method and device for an irregular shape work piece, which can efficiently align the works by making use of roughly U-shaped workpiece. SOLUTION: A work 2 to be fed through a carrying conveyor 4 from a press device 1, is held by the holder 14 of a work stopper. A first work 2 at the specified position F is held by the holder 14, and also is held by the grip 16 of a carrying device while being left as in a regular attitude so as to be rested over the carry-in end of an aligning conveyor 8. After a second work 2 is held by the holder 14, the cylinder 15 of a work stopper 13 is drawn back so as to be positioned at a shift position B, is then held at this position by the grip 16 of the carrying device, and is turned over so as to be brought into an inverse attitude by means of a rotary actuator 22 thereafter. When the second work 2 is rested over the aligning conveyor 8, the aligning conveyor 8 is advanced by one pitch, and the following third work is rested over the aligning conveyor 8 in the regular attitude similarly with the first work 2.</p> |
