<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taste improver for highly sweet sweetener effectively suppressing bitter taste, harsh taste and unfavorable aftertaste peculiar to highly sweet sweetener with a little amount of addition without spoiling the taste inherent in food, and easily produced. <P>SOLUTION: The taste improver for highly sweet sweetener comprises spilanthol or spilanthol-containing plant extract, or vegetable essential oil. The taste improver is added to food and beverage containing highly sweet sweetener so as to improve unfavorable aftertaste of the highly sweet sweetener.
