BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A backlight assembly and a display device with the same are provided to prevent a decrease of a light amount of a light guide plate due to mismatch between a light emitting surface of a light source and a light incident surface of the light guide plate. CONSTITUTION: A light guide unit(150) includes a light emitting surface. A light guide plate(120) guides light provided through a light incident surface. A container(100) includes a bottom part and side walls. A support member(160) is extended from the top of the light source unit to the light guide plate. The support member supports a side part of the light guide plate adjacent to the light incident surface. The support member fixes the light incident surface.
