Abstract A golf bag cover 10 comprising a sheet body 12 made from transparent or translucent material. The sheet body 12 is shaped in a similar manner to a large apron, having a lower section 14 and an upper section 16. The cover 10 comprises attachment means 40 in the form of hooks at the top points 34. The cover 10 further comprises securement means 42 extending from the side edges 22 at the midpoints 26 and adjacent the lower edge 24, which comprises corresponding pairs of hook and loop straps (Velcro) for attachment to each other. The golf bag cover 10 is mounted by laying the sheet body 12 along on top portions of the golf bag 86, with the hooks 40 being attached to support rods of the umbrella 84. The straps 42 are then attached to each other. The lower section 14 curves around and covers the front and side portions of the golf bag 86, as well as at least part of rear portions thereof adjacent the golf buggy 82 and thus protects the golf bag from rain.
