PURPOSE: An electrophoretic display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to omit a bonding layer for bonding an electrophoretic layer or a protection film for protecting the bonding layer. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor is formed on a first substrate(120). A partition wall(180) is formed on an image non display part of the first substrate. A pixel electrode(118) is formed on an image display unit. A common electrode(142) is formed on a second substrate. The first substrate is bonded with the second substrate. The first and second substrates are sealed by a sealing layer(168). An electrophoretic matter is injected between the first and second substrates by a syringe.
