PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring the periphery of a human body. SOLUTION: This invention is related to the apparatus for measuring the periphery of the human body and is embodied so as to photograph an outline image formed around the human body by horizontal light with which the human body is irradiated and analyze human body periphery information from the photographed outline image of the human body. Thus, the periphery of the waist and the periphery of the hips of the human body or the like can be accurately measured almost regardless of the external environment of a measuring person and a person to be measured by using an optical technique.
