<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine with a large lid body allowing clothing to be easily taken out or put in. <P>SOLUTION: A closable door body 31 with an outer diameter close to the vertical dimension of a front inclined surface 30a arranged on a front face of a washing machine housing 30 comprises a dish-shaped window plate 35 made of glass or the like, a window packing 38 which is mounted adjacent to the washing machine housing 30, doughnut-shaped front frame 36 and back frame 37 which hold an circumferential planar edge 35a of the window plate 35 in front-back direction, and a lid cover 34 made of transparent resin which covers the front of the door body 31 and has a gentle convex spherical surface at the front. The front frame 36 has an inner diameter smaller than an effective entrance diameter of an abutment part of the window plate 35 and the window packing 38. The rear face of the front frame 36 adjacent to the window plate is provided with a ring-shaped rib 36a and a number of radial ribs 36f which are integrally formed to enhance rigidity. The door body 31 can be thus enlarged with an enlarged effective entrance, achieving substantially improved operability in taking out or putting in laundry. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
