PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet containing 200 mg of irbesartan in which the miniaturization of the tablet is achieved and the elution behavior of irbesartan, an active ingredient, from the tablet is not different from conventional irbesartan-containing tablets.SOLUTION: The invention discloses an irbesartan containing tablet, wherein a composition, which contains (a) 200 mg of irbesartan as an active ingredient, (b) 8-12 mg of hypromellose as a binder, (c) 25-33 mg of one or more selected from croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, carmellose calcium, carboxymethyl starch sodium, and low substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, as a disintegrant, (d) 60-70 mg of lactose and 50-60 mg of crystalline cellulose as a diluent, and contains no anti-adhesion agent, is kneaded and granulated with a water/ethanol mixture as a binding liquid, and subsequently a lubricant is added into the obtained granulated material and then tableting it in such a tableting pressure that the total weight of the tablet becomes 350-370 mg and the tablet density becomes 1.05-1.28 mg/mm, so that the tablet shows such an elution behavior that about 80% or more of the irbesartan contained in the tablet elutes within 30 minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
