PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder pitch that is low in viscosity and maintains high carbonization yield and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a binder pitch including distilling coal tar with the content of a quinoline insoluble component of 7.5 to 8.5 mass% to make a soft pitch and blowing steam to the soft pitch with a steam quantity/pitch weight ratio in a range of over 0 kg steam/t pitch and 20 kg steam/t pitch or less while heating the soft pitch in a range of 370 to 385°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
