Provided is an apparatus to prevent clogging of a discharge pipe of a quenching tank for a wet-type process. According to the present invention, the apparatus to prevent clogging of the discharge pipe of the quenching tank for the wet-type process is to prevent a pump from being loaded because foreign substances in the discharge pipe in the quenching tank of the wet-type process are caught between an impeller and a casing. The apparatus of the present invention includes: the quenching tank wherein a cooling target to be transferred to a quenching tank buffer located on an upper part thereof is stored; a stirrer which is installed in the quenching tank, to stir the cooling target; the discharge pipe to discharge the cooling target stored in the quenching tank and the foreign substances generated during stirring of the cooling target to the quenching tank buffer; a pump which is installed at a lower part of the discharge pipe, so as to discharge the cooling target and the foreign substances to the quenching tank buffer; and an induction pipe which induces the cooling target or the foreign substances remaining in the discharge pipe to flow down into the quenching tank when the pump stops operating while being linked between the quenching tank and the pump.
