<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ETC system to prevent the generation of erroneous charging or abnormal communication due to the reflected radio waves or leakage currents of inter-vehicle communication. <P>SOLUTION: The ETC on-mounted unit of a vehicle 36 traveling to the automatic charge collection lane of the tollgate of a pay road is provided with a light beacon 51 to transmit identification information stored by a lane controller 135 which controls the inter-vehicle communication of the automatic collection lane. When the vehicle 36 enters the automatic charge collecting lane, the ETC on-vehicle unit confirms the matching of the identification information stored after received from the light beacon 51 with the identification information stored in the lane controller 135, and executes inter-vehicle communication. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the inter-vehicle communication due to reflected radio waves or leakage currents, and to prevent the generation of erroneous charging or abnormal communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
