<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device provided with a lid body on the front surface of its casing, and capable of evenly illuminating nearly the whole of an operation switch with a simple structure in response to the operation of the operation switch without alienating operability. <P>SOLUTION: By forming a second operation part 24 on the lid body 13 openably and closably formed on the front surface of the casing 11 by facing it to a first operation part 23 for pressingly operating a switch element 25 installed in the casing 11, and by pressing the second operation part to turn it on and off with the lid body closed, the switch element 25 in the casing can be subjected to ON-OFF control, and a light emitting diode installed in the casing 11 in line with the center of a second operation piece can be lit and extinguished.
