<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a lockup mechanism that is capable of preventing rotational variations over a wide rotational range on an output side, even with a lockup RPM set to a low value. <P>SOLUTION: This lockup mechanism includes a piston 15 to be pushed against a front cover 2, an output-side unit 16 provided rotatably and integrally with a turbine 4, and a first torsion spring 17 for elastically coupling between the piston 15 and the output-side unit 16. The output-side unit 16 has an output member 20 secured to the turbine 4, an inertia member 21 provided rotatably relative to the output member 20, a second torsion spring 22 for elastically coupling between the inertia member 21 and the output member 20, and a hysteresis torque producing mechanism 23. The hysteresis torque producing mechanism 23 produces variable hysteresis torque between the inertia member 21 and the output member 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
