<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable it to perform a safety confirmation of an acquaintance and relatives easily, by effectively preventing the congestion of a telephone line, for example, at the time of occurrence of a wide-area disaster. <P>SOLUTION: A portable telephone terminal is provided with an indicator 27 with a display screen; a communications circuit wherein the transmission and reception of a signal and the transmission and reception of an e-mail with a telephone call sound, and the connection with the Internet are possible; a television broadcast receiver 23, for receiving at least an urgent broadcast for informing the occurrence of a wide-area disaster and a radio broadcast receiver 25; and control unit 20 for them.
