POLYESTER POLYMERIZATION TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner having a decreased residual amino compound and/or a decreased content of a tin compound in a polyester polymerization toner manufactured by interfacial polymerization of a polyester prepolymer containing an isocyanate group. SOLUTION: The polyester polymerization toner comprises a binder resin having a polyester structure of the chain extended by at least urea coupling, a coloring agent and a release agent, and is characterized in that the amine value is≤200 (mg KOH)/100 g and/or the tin element content is≤1 wt.% with respect to the whole toner amount. The polyester polymerization toner is manufactured by one of the following methods. They are: a method (1) in which a water-soluble polar solvent is made to coexist as an assistant solvent with an organic solvent for the interfacial polymerization; a method (2) in which a tertiary amino compound and/or a tin compound is made present as a catalyst in an oil-based dispersion liquid for the interfacial polymerization reaction; and a method (3) in which the temperature in the system is controlled to 35 to 80°C during the interfacial polymerization.
