<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a drying operation according to the extent of humidity of clothing or an object to be dried in a room or the like, and save running costs. <P>SOLUTION: A heater-dryer includes humidity-detecting means 27 for detecting the humidity of a suction air. A hot air-drying operation comprises a first preliminary hot air-drying operation to be executed for a predetermined time successively after a blowing air-drying operation, a second preliminary hot air-drying operation to be executed for a predetermined time successively subsequent to a blowing air-drying operation performed after the first preliminary hot air drying operation, and a main hot air-drying operation to be executed successively subsequent to a blowing air-drying operation after the second preliminary hot air-drying operation. The heater-dryer further includes computing means for setting a time (TX) according to a humidity difference in such a manner that the larger a difference obtained by subtracting the detected humidity (one humidity) in the second preliminary hot air-drying operation from the detected humidity (another humidity) in the first preliminary hot air-drying operation becomes, the shorter the time (TX) for executing the main hot air-drying operation becomes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
