PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a lead storage battery capable of effectively preventing a crack from reaching an outer face (surface) of the cover by preventing the crack from being spread even when a corrosion layer generated in a bushing is expanded and a cylindrical wall surrounding the corrosion layer is cracked.SOLUTION: In a synthetic resin cover (1), a tubular bushing (2) formed from lead or a lead alloy and a synthetic resin tubular wall (3) in contact with the tubular bushing (2) and concentrically surrounding the bushing are provided in a direction vertical to an inner/outer face of the cover (1). On the outer face of the cover (1), a terminal sealing hole part area (4) is provided which is partitioned by an annular rib (7) provided concentrically to the tubular bushing (2). A cover for a lead storage battery is used while inserting a pole column into an opening of the bushing (2). In the cover for the lead storage battery, a synthetic resin protrusion (6) is provided on the inner face of the cover (1) and outside of the tubular wall (3) concentrically to the tubular bushing (2) in an annular or arcuate shape. |
