PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage caused by an erosion accident in an electrolytic cell, e.g, by performing the suspension of operation in the device in such a manner that the erosion accident in the electrolytic cell is detected in advance. SOLUTION: The electrolytic cell 13 is fitted with a temperature detector 1, and the output of the temperature detector 1 is inputted to an information controller 2. The information controller 2 receives the detected data from the temperature detector 1, and outputs a control signal to a power device 14 when judging that the temperature of the electrolytic cell 13 reaches the previously set temperature or higher, and being temperature abnormality. By the control signal, the feed of power to the electrolytic cell 13 is suspended or an alarm is given by a buzzer or an indicator so as to promote proper management by operators.
