PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a biochip easy to be prepared by injection molding, easy to immobilize a biomolecule onto a surface, and excellent in heat resistance, and a biochip. SOLUTION: The present invention provides the substrate for the biochip constituted of a thermoplastic copolymer having (A)(i) acid anhydride units, the substrate for the biochip having a black color of substrate, and the substrate for the biochip mixed with carbon black in the thermoplastic copolymer having (A)(i) acid anhydride units constituting the substrate.
