<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in image data processing and data communication in an apparatus and a method for image formation forming an image by forming an electrostatic latent image by exposing a photoreceptor surface and then developing the electrostatic latent image in response to an image forming instruction. <P>SOLUTION: A head controller controlling a line head creates a margin equivalent to a margin Ym at a top part of an image by delaying start of a latent image formation according to the margin Ym between a tip position in an image carrying region Rmax and a tip position in an actual image region Rim excluding the margin from the region on a transfer belt 81. Furthermore, when video data are written on a line buffer, a margin equivalent to a margin Xm is created at a left part of an image by shifting the video data according to the margin Xm between a left end position in the image carrying region Rmax and a left end position in the actual image region Rim excluding the margin from the region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
