A fragrant oil burner (1) has a groove (2), (9) which can hold fragrant oil (8). In use the candle is lit and the oil vaporized. The base (3) has recesses (6) and (7) of variable diameter to accommodate candles of differing widths. The holder may have holes (5) for aesthetic purposes.
