PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management server and a network management method which can easily register each MAC address of each network terminal and each initial setting value. SOLUTION: A template which defines initial setting items of each model of network terminals and the attributes is read to a network management server 1, and a management database 16 whose data items are MAC address items and initial setting items is established. And the management database 16 is composed of registered terminal database and non-registered terminal database. When the management database receives an initial setting request from a non-registered network terminal, its MAC address is registered to the pertinent non-registered terminal database. Furthermore, the non-registered terminal database is exported in CSV format file, a setting value for initial setting is written in by a PC, imported to the network management server 1, and registered to the registered terminal database.
