PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flush valve device capable of solving problem of defective water cut-off when a main valve is closed by effectively removing foreign matters included in water without weakening the force of water. SOLUTION: In this flush valve device 10, when the opening of the main valve 14 is large and the area of a flow passage for the water flowing from an upstream side 12a to a downstream side 12b through the main valve 14 is large, a foreign matter passing space is increased to allow foreign matters to pass therethrough. After the opening of the main valve 14 is reduced when the main valve 14 is closed and the area of the flow passage is reduced to a set value or less, a strainer 46 stopping the passing of foreign matters and filtrating them is installed around the main valve 14 in the upstream part 12a.
