PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate by which curling can be suppressed even when a difference in a dimensional change rate between a first transparent protective film and a second transparent protective film is large.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a long polarizing plate is provided, which comprises: laminating a first transparent protective film on one surface of a polarizer with an adhesive; and laminating a second transparent protective film on the other surface with an adhesive. In the method, an absolute value of a difference (L1-L2), where L1 represents a dimensional change rate (%) of the first transparent protective film and L2 represents a dimensional change rate (%) of the second transparent protective film, is 0.10 or more; the polarizer has a width equal to or smaller than a width of the first transparent protective film and of the second transparent protective film; in a width direction of the polarizer and in a region outside both side edges of the polarizer, the first transparent protective film and the second transparent protective film are laminated by an adhesive without interposing the polarizer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
