The control method applies to a mobile phone which can operate selectively in either a telephone call or navigator mode. A display, which is part of the mobile terminal or is connected to it, displays only a page of service data that is written in a language adapted to service data, by sequence of instructions. The page of service data gives access to at least one service. In order to select a preferential mode of operation, a selection instruction is incorporated in the sequence of instructions of the page of service data. Preferably, a navigator mode uses a WAP protocol and the language adapted to service data is of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) type, esp. WML (Wireless Markup Language), HTML or variant of the latter. |
