PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having stable charging characteristics by specifying the temperature of a medium used in a cleaning process even when dot reproducibility, developing property, and transfer property are improved by preparing a small-diameter and spheric toner. SOLUTION: The toner contains at least a binder resin and a colorant, and is obtained by producing particles in an aqueous medium, cleaning and drying. The toner is characterized in that when the toner after cleaned and before dried is dispersed in an aqueous medium at a temperature equal to or higher than Tg of the toner, the specific conductivity of the aqueous medium is≤60μS/cm.
