Terminal, system and method for discarding encoded parts of a sampled audio stream

Encoded parts (12) of a sampled audio stream are discarded at a terminal (31). The method comprises the stepf of:
- encoding parts (11) of a sampled audio stream to encoded parts (12);
- transmitting encoded parts (12) to a network (100) in data packets (13) for being transmitted to a destination terminal (32); and
- in response to receiving a control message (MSG) from the network (100), starting to discard encoded parts (12) or data packets (13) comprising an encoded part (12) responsive to perceptual importance of the encoded parts (12).
