PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor for preventing the discharge of internal gas and an electrolyte produced at the end of life and abnormal time without enlarging the enclosure of the electrolytic capacitor so much. SOLUTION: An electrolytic capacitor comprises: a spreading polymer film 2 which is formed stretched in a capacitor case 1, and divides a space in the capacitor case 1 into upper and lower portions; a capacitor element 3 provided in a lower housing portion defined by division by the polymer film 2; and a movable strip 7 and a fixed strip 10 which are provided in an upper housing portion defined by division by the polymer film 2, which are inserted in a lead line 6 of the capacitor element 3, and are always closed.
