<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell of "horizontal stripe type" arranged in which a remaining gas composition which has entered a fuel gas passage can be reformed in the course of passing through many pores inside a support substrate while ensuring the insulation between adjacent fuel electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery cell includes (fuel electrodes of) power generation element parts A arranged in a plurality of positions on a principal surface of a tabular porous support substrate 10 with gas passages 11 formed therein. The support substrate 10 comprises: a first part 10a located near the walls of the gas passages 11, and consisting of a catalyst component and an electrically insulative component; and second parts 10b located near the principal surface of the support substrate 10 in contact with the fuel electrodes of the power generation element parts A, and consisting of only an electrically insulative component. Gas having passed through a reformer performing reforming of carbon hydride-based gas (which includes not only reformed gas (e.g. hydrogen gas), but also remaining gas to be reformed) is introduced into the gas passage 11 of the support substrate 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
