PURPOSE: A system for sending and receiving message providing a previous indication number display service is provided to display a message which is converted as a previous indication number. CONSTITUTION: If an original originating number is identical with a reply number, a message service device(120) receives a child number which is matched with a mother number of a user terminal(101) from a first HLR(Home Location Register)(140). The message service device converts the returned number into the received child number. The message service device receives the routing information of a second user terminal(102) which is matched with the number of the received message from a second HLR. A receiving exchanger(130) transmits the message which is converted into the returned number to a second user terminal.
